CD-5 Congressional Candidate Jena Nelson will host an in-person town hall at Seminole State College’s Haney Center on Tuesday, August 26th from 5 to 7pm. The event is open to all of CD-5, including current CD-5 Congresswoman Stephanie Bice. Nelson and Bice would have equal time to answer the non-screened questions asked of them. 

The date of the event marks four years since Stephanie Bice last hosted an in-person town hall on August 26, 2021.

Not On My Watch is an informal group of veterans focused on answering, and acting upon the answer to, the question: “What does it mean to honor our Oath during this time?” A short presentation on the Not On My Watch campaign will be followed by an opportunity for attendees to publicly voice their concerns over veterans’ benefits and related issues. Business owners, residents and community organizers are invited to attend a community meeting to learn about the possibility of creating a new Tax Increment Financing (TIF) district to support development in the historic Capitol Hill area. Hosted by Ward 6 Councilwoman JoBeth Hamon, the meeting is an opportunity to learn how TIF districts work, the new district's TIF boundaries, and the proposed timeline.

The town hall will be held at 5:30 p.m. on May 12 at the Yale Theater, 227 SW 25th St.
